Bear Lake Campground is located at 10,480ft elevation in the San Isabel National Forest in Colorado. You may even see a bear or two in the area, so enjoy them from a distance but be sure to keep your campground clean. A tributary of the Cuchara River runs through the campgrounds, and Bear Lake is approximately ⅛ mile from the campground. Blue Lake is about a mile away, and both are excellent for fishing!

Sunny Valley RV Park – Sunny Valley, Oregon

The Sunny Valley RV Park is halfway between Roseburn and Medford, Oregon, about 15 miles north of Grants Pass, OR. Nestled among mature shade trees, this relaxing environment is ideal for those who want to get to someplace quiet for a long weekend, or a whole week! The park has 24 30amp partial hook-up sites with water and electric, two 30/50amp partial hook-ups with water and electric, and four 30/50amp full hook-up sites with water, sewer, and electric. Most of the pull-through sites are able to accommodate RVs up to 45 feet long with room for an additional vehicle. Some sites even have extra space to set up a tent! Cell phone service here is very limited, but there is Wifi available throughout the park for email access and web searches.

Cub River Guest Ranch – Preston, Idaho

Located in Cub River Canyon in the southeastern corner of Idaho, Cub River Guest Ranch is 2 hours north of Salt Lake City and about an hour from Pocatello, Idaho. Breathe in the fresh mountain air with the bubbling of the Cub River nearby in this magnificent Idaho hideaway. It has 350 miles worth of horse trails, ATV trails, and snowmobile trails. They even have snowmobile rentals available! The site has 11 RV hook-ups with a large lawn area in the center and access to the trails in the Cache National Forest.

Blue Heron RV Park at Klamath Ranch Resort – Hornbrook, California

The Blue Heron RV Park at Klamath Ranch Resort is open year-round in the great state of California, near the Oregon border. It is located on the beautiful Klamath River, where visitors can fish, float, or simply enjoy the sound of the rushing water. There is also horseback riding, snow skiing, and water skiing available nearby. Iron Gate Reservoir is also a short drive and has ample fishing. All sites have full hook-ups available, including 20/30/50 electric, sewer, and water. While this RV park is more off the beaten path than some, they do still have Wifi, paved streets in the park, as well as restrooms, a bathhouse, and a laundry facility.

Tok RV Village & Cabins – Tok, Alaska

If you’re really trying to have a faraway adventure, making the trek out to Tok RV Village & Cabins will give you just that! The campground has been around since 1986 and was built and is ran by the Jernigans, a longtime Alaska family. They pride themselves on running a very clean RV park.
