Welcome, Automatic Equipment Manufacturing Co. dba Blue Ox (“Blue Ox” and/or “Company”) is committed to making your visit a safe and healthy one for you and others in the workplace. It is for this reason that we require all visitors to Blue Ox grounds, facilities and workplaces abide by the following safety rules while they are here.  It takes the effort of everyone working together – including visitors – to make Blue Ox a safe and healthy workplace.

1. Signing In: All visitors to Blue Ox shall come to the main reception desk located in the front office and sign the visitors log immediately upon arrival.

2. Emergency Notification: immediately report all injuries or incidents. DO NOT CALL 911.

3. Personal Protective Equipment: All visitors must use and wear personal protective equipment at all times while visiting the manufacturing floor.

   1. Safety glasses are required at all times.

   2. Steel toed shoes are required outside of yellow walkway perimeters.

   3. Other personal protective equipment if required when utilizing Blue Ox equipment.

4. Rules of Conduct: All visitors must obey the following rules of conduct at all times.

   1. Follow all verbal instruction and posted warning and safety signs.

   2. Always be alert for potentially hazardous conditions

   3. Keep clear of all suspended loads

   4. Don’t touch or attempt to operate any machine, device or equipment without authorization and proper task training.

   5. Don’t talk to or distract workers operating machines, devices or equipment or engaging in safety-related functions like traffic control.

   6. Don’t engage in any pranks, horseplay, contests, feats of strength, running or rough and boisterous conduct.

   7. Stay out of restricted areas.

   8. Seat belts must be worn at all times while riding in or while operating a motor vehicle on Blue Ox Property.

   9. If you are in doubt about any procedure or hazard, discuss it with your Blue Ox contact or the nearest Blue Ox manager.

5. Security:

   1. The consumption, possession or being under the influence of any drug or alcohol is not permitted and will result in the removal from Blue Ox property and/or criminal prosecution.

   2. Firearms are not permitted on Blue Ox property

   3. Cameras are not allowed on Blue Ox property without written consent from Blue Ox.

6. Signing Out: Visitors must leave through the same reception area in which they enter and sign out.

7. Non-Compliance: Visitors who fail to follow these policies will have their visiting privileges revoked and will be asked to leave.  Blue Oxshall not be responsible for injuries that visitors suffer as a result of violating these rules.

8. Liability Waiver and Indemnity:

   1. My company and I waive all claims against Blue Ox for injury to me or damage to property which occurs at Blue Ox.

   2. My company and I will hold Blue Ox harmless from injuries caused by our negligence.
